2025 Exhibition Classes:
Each year we run a hugely fun and entertaining competition with many classes to take part in. Study the Divisions and their classes below and follow the simple instructions on how to enter.
Exhibition Entry
To enter any category, simply email to: Exhibits@sealeandsands.org with the following information:
YOUR NAME
And then list the entries you want to submit.
All emailed entries to be submitted by 12pm on Friday 4th July 2025. PLEASE NOTE, entries for the photographic competition (Division 5) must be submitted by Monday 30th June. Entry submissions must be placed within the Exhibition Tent by 11.30am, Saturday 5th July. The Exhibition Tent will be open from 9.30am. Division & Class Schedule:
Division 1: Flower Classes: 1. Rose - Large flowered (hybrid tea type) 1 stem 2. Rose - Cluster flowered (floribunda/rambler type) 1 stem 3. Sweet peas - 3 stems mixed colour 4. Lily - single stem 5. Cut foliage - 5 stems (all different) no flowers 6. Container of mixed, cut garden flowers - 45cm (18 inches) judged on interest and quality. Must be home grown.
Division 2: Vegetables and Fruit Classes: 7. Lettuce (2) 8. Soft fruit (Plate of 9, leave stems on) 9. Mixed herbs (Vase of 5 stems, all different, named) No flowers 10. Chilli (3) 11. Mixed vegetable/fruit box (one each of four varieties)
Division 3: Floral Art Classes: 12. Medieval Delight – native flowers and if you are adventurous, consider fruits and herbs too. Let your imagination run wild! (but NO OASIS please)
Division 4: Domestic Classes: 13. Jar of chutney (At least three months old, use lids) 14. Jar of jam/marmalade (Fill to the top of the jar, use jam pot covers) 15. Victoria sandwich - jam only, 3 egg recipe, 7 inch/18cm tin 16. Lemon drizzle cake 17. Your favourite chocolate cake. Please write out your recipe with this category to share with others 18. Six scones 19. Six flapjacks 20. Savoury loaf 21. Decorated cake - Themed to ‘Build a Medieval Castle’ (Will be judged on the decoration, not the cake) 22. Home brew/ wine / soft drink
Division 5: Art and Handicraft Classes: 23. Show your talent! An opportunity to demonstrate and share your skills, from crafts to design. Show your newfound skills or mastered talent - you may find like-minded villagers! This division isn't judged; there will be a certificate for entry. 24. Photographic competition voted on by the public. One entry per person for each category - Two categories: 25. Photographic competition voted on by the public. One entry per person for each category – 2. My best ever photo! Share your masterpiece whether taken this year or earlier. Show off your skills.
Photographs need to be submitted by email. Closing date for entries into the Photographic competition is Monday 30th June. Please send to exhibits@sealeandsands.org
Submitted photos will be shortlisted to Top 40 in each category, framed and displayed in the Exhibition Tent. There will be an opportunity for you to purchase your (shortlisted) framed print at the end of the show. Unsold prints will be made available to the general public.
Division 6: Children Classes: Grow your own Cress Seed Surprise! Collect your seeds from The Barley Mow in The Sands from 1st June.
Welcome to the Children’s competition 2025. You now have cress seeds and ready to create your masterpiece. Nurture them, talk to them, give them lots of love, and be ready with your Cress creation for show day!
We are looking forward to seeing you with your wonderful Cress creations on Saturday 5th July.

Seale & Sands Show Exhibition Rules:
| Exhibition Entry ALL ENTRIES, no matter how many, ARE FREE. Anyone in Seale, The Sands, and surrounding areas is very welcome to take part.
