The Seale and Sands Summer Show is taking shape! Keep coming back to the website for updates and news as we finalise plans for the 2024 Daytime Summer Show AND Evening Party.

Saturday 6th July... Make sure you SAVE THE DATE!

Show opens at 1pm and finishes LATE!

A BIG THANKYOU to Farnham Golf Club, Strutt & Parker and
Chambers Recycling PLC,
major sponsors for the 2023 event.

Exhibition Divisions & Classes will be announced in the Spring. Click on the Exhibition tab above to learn about 2023 entry classes.
Closing date Friday 5 July 2024, 12pm

For those that attended last year's show, we captured lots of great feedback... fun laid on for our younger residents and the overall relaxed feel as we all chilled in the afternoon and then danced ourselves silly in the evening! The ‘bring your own picnic' was truly a success and something we will be building upon for the shows ahead.

This year's show will feature many of the plus points of last year's event whilst retaining everything that is loved from our traditional mid-summer fete.

The event will be a seamless celebration from afternoon fun into evening party. One ticket will give you access to the entire day and evening, and children go free with each paying adult! Visitors can purchase tickets on the day. Wrist bands will grant you access to all areas!  Ticket prices to be announced soon with accompanied children FREE.

Come early - stay late! We have set aside a large central space where you can set up your day and evening camp. Bring a picnic, bring a bottle. But most importantly, bring yourselves and your friends. At last year's show, we had a number of fabulous settings created by guests - with fairy lights, soft seating and chilled decorations. We would love to see more 'bases' where you can enjoy the show and live music. Make it your home for the day... and evening!

Music line-up for the afternoon and evening will be announced in the Spring.

Our famous KIDS ZONE will be bigger and even more exciting!

And what’s more – IT’S ALL FREE!

 HERE'S A SUMMARY OF THE 2023 entertainment...

Punch & Judy – shows throughout the afternoon

Reptile experience with Reptasia – meet cold-blooded creatures, up close and personal!

Face Painting – always a favourite

Arts & Crafts – help paint our very own creative freeze

Water Wheel – it’s fun, it’s clever, and it’s wet!

Bashable Musical Organ Pipes – an ingenious contraption for young ones to enjoy

Handprint Wall - painted hands required for a lasting memory

Little Footie Stars Penalty Shoot-out – hone your shooting skills with our professionals

Adventure inflatable – 40ft of absolute fun

Toddler soft play – includes a dinosaur-themed ball pond

Giant foam building bricks – for budding architects!

Toddler roller coaster – it’s small, so riders should be too ; )

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 6th July.

MUSIC AT THE SHOW AND PARTY!

Here's what happened at the '23 afternoon and evening party:

The Sidewinder Big Band
The Sidewinder Big Band consists of five saxophones, four trumpets, three trombones, piano, bass guitar, guitar, drums and female and male vocalists. Just how will they all fit on stage?! The band has played at numerous venues across the South with a range of musical genres from classic big band to contemporary hits. You'll hear from Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich, and then onto Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder and more. A real mix. A fabulous sound. And a great way to kick off your Summer Show afternoon.

Sneakin’ Suspicion
Sneakin’ Suspicion are a local 5-piece covers band who have been together for 12 years and play a mixture of soft rock, pop and a little bit of country from across the decades to suit a variety of tastes. All of the band are dedicated music fans and experienced musicians who love nothing better than to play and perform as often as possible. With Carol on lead vocals, Alan on lead guitar, Paul on rhythm guitar, Roger on bass guitar, and Sean on drums.

Shuffle Tunes
Shuffle Tunes is a choir with a difference. It is a local choir that sings the music that it chooses. It doesn't stick to one genre; if it can be done, Shuffle Tunes will do it!
Led by an experienced choir leader Shuffle Tunes is a fun, sociable, dynamic and positive choir. Dulcet tones for an afternoon in the park.

During the evening…

Open Mic
Introduced for the first time last year, we uncovered huge amount of talent from across the villages. This year we're allocating more time and will have more backing musicians to bring this untapped talent to the fore! If we can plan your set ahead, it will make the performance even better... so do drop the Director of Music a line so that we can be prepped, ready and willing! Email dominic.whittle@gmail.com with your details and song list.

Black Velvet
One of the country's premium party bands, Black Velvet are well experienced in providing the best entertainment possible. From 60's classics to current chart hits, the band is more than versatile, with amazing male and female vocalists, piano player, lead and bass guitarists – their one aim… to get people smiling and dancing! Black Velvet will have extended sets during the evening. They've played before. They'll play again. And you won't want them to stop!

 About our July Summer Show

The Seale and Sands Show is a traditional village fete held on The Sands Recreation Ground.  We like to think we put on a great show, providing something for everyone.

At the heart of the show is the event arena where the fun and games, demonstrations and races take place. Surrounding the arena are food and drink stalls, trade stalls, classic games such as coconut shy and penalty shoot out, and attractions like classic cars, motorbikes and other interesting vehicles and a giant fairground organ.

We have an exhibition marquee that houses the exhibits of the art and craft, floral, produce and children's competitions. Later the show transforms into an evening party with great street food, drinks and entertainment until late.

Spend the afternoon AND evening with us on the first Saturday in July and join the fun...
