Love the show, like to be involved?

We would value your help for everything that is happening at the 2024 show and evening party...

Whether you would like to join the show committee or offer an hour or so to help with set up, break down after the show, helping on a stall or the car park. There are so many ways to help and contribute to the show.

With a small team of organisers, there’s much work to do on the day and in the days and weeks leading up to it.

We know your time is precious, so any support is hugely appreciated. Whether it’s an hour on the day, or more hours ahead of the show, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s what we need support with…

 General set-up duties

  • Any time you can give on Friday 5th July (AM or PM) and from 9am on the day of the show
  • Tasks you could help with include setting up the marquee, laying out the show ground, building the warfare set, setting up the children’s area, laying out the community stalls and games, general movement of chairs / tables, putting out lights, setting up the tea, coffee and cake stall

 Helping to man the bar

  • Any times between 1pm and 11pm on the day of the show
  • Pulling pints, handing out drinks and taking money

Preparing and leading the Pimm's stall

  • Sourcing and preparing the Pimm's fruit in advance
  • Setting up the Pimm's area alongside the bar

 Helping to monitor community stalls

  • Setting up the stalls the morning of the show
  • Monitoring the stalls every now and then to re-set any games during the show (1pm – 5pm)

Helping with raffle tickets on the day

  • Shifts to help sell the daytime and evening raffle tickets throughout the show (1pm – 9pm)

 Commercial stalls

  • Help with laying out the commercial stall area on Friday 5th July
  • Directing the commercial stallholders to their pitches on the morning of the show
  • People needed to take stints on the sheep racing stall and walking around the show to sell sheep race tickets (1pm until the sheep racing starts on the day of the show)

 Support with the exhibition

  • A general helping hand talking to exhibitors, arranging the exhibits and supporting the judges

 Marketing & Communications

  • Helping our team deliver on every part of the marketing plan

 Community spirit required in bucket-loads!

So many of you attend with your friends and family and we know you have a great time.  Help us make the show a day and night to remember – meet new faces, make new friends, and play a part in one of the social highlights in our leafy corner of Surrey.

Please let us know how you can help, and remember, any time you can give us is a bonus – email: info@sealeandsands.org

Thinking further ahead in 2024

Dare we mention Christmas?! We have had some preliminary thoughts for a Seale and Sands Christmas Dinner Party. A night of delicious food, posh frocks, live music and crazy dancing. No concrete plans yet but to make this happen, party planners will be needed – whether one person or a perhaps a small group of friends. This we hope might be the start of an annual must-attend event. Help shape and lead this from the beginning. Let’s have a chat… email: info@sealeandsands.org
